Community Supper

AS OF SEPTEMBER 2020, THE COMMUNITY SUPPER PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELED.

Calvary is host church for the Thursday Night Community Supper, a service of the Federal Way Community Caregiving Network.  Guests enjoy a hot, home-cooked meal.

Helpers participate on a rotation schedule.  Even if you cannot commit to volunteer on a regular basis, substitutes are needed.

Ways to serve:

• Shopping
• Cooking
• Set-up (3:00 p.m.)
• Serving
• Clean-up

PLEASE NOTE:
With the exception of new men's socks, we are no longer able to accept clothing donations.  Please take all clothing donations to the Federal Way Multi-Service Center Clothing Bank, 1200 S. 336th Street, Federal Way, WA  98003.

SOS Kit Supplies
The Federal Way Community Caregivers Network operates an SOS (Supper Outreach Services) Program table at the Community Supper each week.

The SOS Program provides guests with important hygiene items and information on community services.

To donate supplies, label them SOS and drop them by the church office:

• Small flashlights and batteries
• Hotel/motel size soaps
• Small hand towels
• Chapstick/lip balm
• Small container shampoo
• Small deodorant
• Disposable razors
• Small shaving cream
• Tampons
• Tooth brushes
• Small toothpaste
• Small mouthwash
• Small hand cream
• Men’s socks (white, one-size-fits-all)

More Ways to Help
Even if you cannot participate in the Thursday Night Community Supper, there are important ways to be involved.

Donate Pint and Quart Containers
Guests are sent home with delicious leftovers at the end of the Community Supper.  We always need containers for these leftovers!

Mark containers "Community Supper"
and leave them in the church kitchen.
