Sack Lunch Ministry

Our neighbors who are hungry can come to Calvary between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and receive a free sack lunch. There are no forms to fill out, just come and enjoy lunch.

Would you like to help pack or hand out lunches? Help is needed, particularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You could help weekly, occasionally, or as a substitute.

You can donate to this program in two ways:

1. Financial.  Make a donation through our secure giving portal: https://calvaryfw.breezechms.com/give/online - Use the dropdown menu "Add Gift to Another Fund" and select "Give to Sack Lunches". Checks can be written to "Calvary Lutheran Church," with "Sack Lunch Ministry" in the memo line.  Donations are tax deductible. The Sack Lunch Program is run and staffed by volunteers.  One hundred percent of your donation will go to purchase food and supplies for the program.
2. Food and Supplies. Below is a list of food and supplies we need to keep on-hand. Seasonal treats are also welcome!​

For the packed lunches
Individual size

Napkins
Paper bags - size #6

For serving
Containers for special/holiday meals (usually 3 compartments)
Cold cups for summer can be up to 12 ozs. 
Hot paper cups for coffee
Plastic spoons, forks
Parchment paper
Sandwich and snack size baggies
Otter pops that can be frozen & used on hot days

For cooking
Large size
    barbeque sauce
    teriyaki sauce
    mayonnaise
    mustard
    ketchup
    spices: 
       black pepper
       granulated or minced garlic
       chopped Onion (dry)
       Taco Seasoning Mix
Large bags of sugar 
Cooking spray
Jam 
Peanut butter (large) 
Liquid coffee creamer ​
